The Judas in all of us:
continuing on from any judgements which fall upon our countries is all our sins: Judas had the same attitude at least some, only he was being a total hypocrite. But we hear of those who profess faith, taking the final act anyone can take, and reject the Lord, and kill themselves, and I hear other Christians saying, there final sin was already paid for, which no one can say for certain, but I do know they can't repent of such a final sin. And as someone whose led a life filled with suicidal tendencies, these thought patterns do not just disappear and stop, on salvation. The devil knows our weakness, he knows how to push the right buttons. And yes, the thoughts will be there, when life seems intolerable, but not in a contemplative way. To contemplate with them, or consider them, in any kind of way, would be like playing with fire. And the Lord told us to resist the devil and he would flee from us. But during the darkest times, it can sometimes seem to be the thing that is most pressing, as you have to deal with the onslaughts of life, which seem constant and hardly ever remitting, and that thought to kill oneself and remove oneself from the situation, looks like a tempting answer. NO. It is not an answer, and would be the final rejection and despising the Lord's protection. Sometimes I don't know how to get through a day. I lay strapped to my bed, unable to be up because I am too sick, often unable to read because of physical brain problems, and I think a little bit of hell comes near on those days. Being in bed, ones options are limited. And there is no other stimuli around, such as books or normal every day life, all one is aware of is the pain that fills ones body, and the torment that seems to engulf you internally, those thoughts creep in. The TV sits there, like a hand outstretching towards you, offering some distraction from the above. Yet, the very nature of what's on TV in any level almost, you know its not a friend on any level. And will just further allow the devil to strengthen his foothold. So, you lay there, with your pain, body, mind and soul, and contemplate. and in those times which seem of late to have been all too frequent, you try to think of blessings which have come. And often, in the mires of misery, we can also despise God's mercies. But to do so, is just another betrayal of the Lord, such as Judas did when the devil entered in. And however long this time lasts, whether it be several hours, a day, a few days, you know that in your heart, you betrayed your Lord. You wanted release from your suffering, and for a while the thought of ending it had been tempting. And so though I often give pause for thought, when hearing of them taking the final act of despair and distrusting God, its too easy again to point the finger, and say, we could never do such and such a sin. Or we are not responsible for any of God's judgements. Because not a day goes by, when in our hearts, we don't at least betray our Lord in some way.
Matt 27 .
3Then when Judas, his betrayer, saw that Jesus[1] was condemned, he changed his mind and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders, 4saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." They said, "What is that to us? See to it yourself." 5And throwing down the pieces of silver into the temple, he departed, and he went and hanged himself. 6But the chief priests, taking the pieces of silver, said, "It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is blood money." 7So they took counsel and bought with them the potter's field as a burial place for strangers. 8Therefore that field has been called the Field of Blood to this day. 9Then was fulfilled what had been spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, saying, "And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him on whom a price had been set by some of the sons of Israel, 10and they gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord directed me."

Well, I don't drink!! Dat's the Truth. God gave me a natural dislike for the taste, and if I had have liked it, would more than like be dead now, seeing as my affliction affects my liver!!
But, for all my beer-liking or wine drinking friends. (You knows whose you are!!!) BEWARE!!
Signs You've had enough to drink
- You have to hold onto the lawn to keep from falling off the earth. - Job interfering with your drinking. - Your doctor finds traces of blood in your alcohol stream. - The back of your head keeps getting hit by the toilet seat. - Sincerely believe alcohol to be the elusive 5th food group. - Two hands and just one mouth... - now THAT'S a drinking problem! - You can focus better with one eye closed. - The parking lot seems to have moved while you were in the bar. - You fall off the floor... - Hey, 5 beers has just as many calories as a burger, screw dinner! - At AA meetings you begin: "Hi, my name is... uh. - Your idea of cutting back is less salt. - The whole bar says 'Hi' when you come in... - Don't recognize your wife unless seen through bottom of glass. |

Dying for the Want of Love:I sometimes during early morning watch a U.K talk-show called Trisha As you can see if you click on the link, she's been through the mill in earlier life, and I suspect she is a Christian now as well as the TV councellor.
But have just been like looking into a parallel universe by the one section of her show this morn. A mother, along with an older brother, well, the mother says she loves her other son, whose 18, she says it, but does very little to show it. And the brother is making life even harder for the other younger brother by making wedge wider between mother and son. The older brother is a homosexual and a mommy's boy. But, the young guy who was 18, he sat there with that look, the one I know, and when he looked at his mother his eyes were dead. His anger towards his mother and brother, were purpose driven and he knew exactly why he was angry, and basically he was sat out there, with only his 18 year old girlfiend, who said he often cries with greif and despair and has been at times suicidal, cos the natural love a parent should have for there child is just not there. To prove she loved him, at the end, his mother went and hugged her youngest son, and he sat there, knowing not to believe it meant anything, not daring to believe anything else. And Trisha said, don't worry, just take it and don't think. One day she'll hug you and it will mean something. She offered him counselling, both for himself, and with his mother. And she said, you can't change people, but you can change the way you react to a situation. Which maybe true. But my heart bled for that guy. And in some ways, his reactions to things and people on the show mirrored closer to home exactly. Pretty much in every way. The guy was dying at least internally for want of love. He's 18. Will it get better? or when he's twice his age, will he still be grief stricken and in emotional agony from the love not being there. Trisha said when he was so depressed through the situation, he should remove himself from it to survive. And I agree. If not, he will be hitting the self-destruct button, which is like a simmering time-bomb, which is likely to implode at any given time. Craving for love from someone whom it should be freely given, does that to you. But why do parents have kids, and then go ahead and just do the best they can without trying very hard, to mess them up, and destroy there spirit, and leaving the off-spring wishing they would rather they had never been born. Psalm 27
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
the LORD will receive me.

Tender Moments

Does anyone remember Sept 11 for anything BUT The World Trade Centre collapsing on 2001?
i saw a documentary not long ago on British Independant TV, and how a priest from that time, who was a Fire service chaplain, people were advocating him for sainthood, and that if any pheonix could rise from the ashes it ought to be Father Michael Judge, the homosexual priest.
People need there heroes. The above kind of person fits and fulfills many peoples needs in this kind of thing.
I recall after the WTC of 2001 Falliwell and Robsinson I tihnk? stood on the steps of somewhere and said, oh This is God's judgement against our country for the spread of homosexuality and abortion. And in part they may be right. But its easy for us to point at a sin which is and has never been our particular sin, as being the sole cause for anything, and to not look at ourselves and those around us within our circles and see that each of us has enough sin to drown the world in a plague if God so wished to judge. Its not just homosexualty or the murder of innocent babies, (tho I condone neither) its your sin, and my sin, and every single person who ever drew breath apart from Our Lord.
Did you notice Isaiah when giving His prophecy put the judgement for the people square at his own front door as well as everyone else. His lips were just as unclean as any of the peoples
Isaiah 6:5"Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty."
(Whole Chapter: Isaiah 6 In context: Isaiah 6:4-6)
Some people tend to ask where you were and what you were doing when you heard of the WCT. I was listening to online radio, and as always when here my mail is open. And I saw those I knew expressing there shock and horror and amazement. Datarat puffed his chest up proudly and uttered much the same as Falliwell and Robbins. My friend Jerry, aka raging Calvinist, who seemed often to be a lone sane voice in those days, amongst much madness, the height of which had culminated in one final act of madness and the destruction of the WCT, well, he said he was going to wrestle with his kids, and just be silly people. it may not have been as prophetic as DataRat and some other people I knew who were speaking online at that time, but it was human, well focused and straight to the heart.. As often, we can make great statements and be blowing in the wind, and not take note or cherish the tender moments of those we love and who care for us. And time goes by, and the chance is gone. Another September 11 happens and destroys our dreams we can never get back. The tender moments, are what keeps sanity in an ever changing, ever hardening, ever uncaring largely unloving world.
