BUT: Don't you hate those calls you make on the telephone and one is immediately put on hold while normally left listening to some tasteless music or other such. And most official places have these call centres now for handling telephone calls in this method. Around a year ago, I had occassion to telephone my district nurse centre. Think in America you call them home health nurses. And the phone was answered, and immediately was put on hold with a voice now and then telling me I was fourth in the queue, and some dire music in between the voice. Now my call was not of an urgent nature that day. But what if I'd have been someone in dire straits medically speaking. "Please hold the line and try not to have a cardiac arrest till we get to you, you are now third in the queue and moving higher up" But sometimes those call centres keep on waiting till you do feel end up feeling like this:
