Would you see a chiropractor?
Personally my answer is, NO, NO, NO, NO!! (Sheesh!) if in pain do not add to it by going on the rack and getting your bones wrenched!
I have never willingly put myself up for suffering physical pain. When I first started getting so sick, almost three years ago now, my main source of pain was in my back. And well meaning friends, but don't think they realized how this thought horrified me, said to go see a Chiropractor. A guy who was my best friend at the time, even said he'd pay for me to see one! (Sheesh! again!) As it turned out my pain is through nerve damage and over time has progressed so there's not an inch of me from head to foot that is not in pain so it wouldn't have done me any good to see one.
I also know of folks who not alot older than I, have suffered strokes. And with most neuro problems one is more prone to strokes anyway. And neck manipulation by these medical professionals can lead to strokes for some people: Chiropractors and strokes so this would also put me off!
So far today, have taken lesser narcotics, ibuprofen and morphine and are still in pain. And if I thought any therapy such as chiropracting may be of benefit, would probably think about a massager. But, then again, I don't like folks touching me, so that could be hard too!!! But animals I can be near to without a problem, so think they ought to get some more of these massagers trained up!!
