It seems to me, that when one sees folks driving along while holding a mobile phone to their ear, looking through the mirror to see as they look pretty, and in one case, a guy driving a lone with a hamburger in one hand a newspaper in the other, and steering the car with his knees, that we should be grateful to have the Yorkshire Terrier keeping its eye on the road!! My Yorkshire terrier would always look left and right before even crossing a road, so they do have more road sense than many folks!! Out of control... humbug!

A PERTH woman who was spotted driving with a Yorkshire terrier on her lap was fined �150 at Perth Sheriff Court yesterday. Mary Mannion (36), May Place, North Muirton, also had five penalty points imposed on her licence after she admitted a charge of careless driving in Longcauseway and Riggs Road, Perth, on November 7 last year. She had originally been charged with careless driving but a guilty to the lesser charge was accepted buy the prosecution. The court was told that the dog was seen sticking its head out of the driver�s window. It was in full view on the accused�s lap and was described as being �out of control�. Solicitor Billy Somerville said that the dog didn�t normally jump up but on this case it had. The accused had taken steps to ensure it wouldn�t happen again. |
